Just tired of things I see...
I have come across unexpected stories so far in my Reddit journey (not complaining). However, I often find myself questioning, "why is everyone following a certain trend?", "why is everyone disclosing how much they earn (quite casually)?", "why is everyone glorifying little things about life?".
- I have also realised that small talk has become our new way to conversing. No one is fond of a deep conversation; a conversation that is not forced, a conversation that feels completely organic, a conversation that starts and ends with mutual respect and loads of curiosity rather chit-chatting over "shared hobbies". What if we don't have many things in common?
- Patience and willingness: these two are the most important things that two people should have in common. I'm disheartened to see how most of us have become utterly impatient. Perhaps, it's the lifestyle? Our choices? Or may be the quick dopamine that we get from doom-scrolling?
I have given up my search for those people who are in my frequency; this whole system is tremendously draining.
Can we not keep our lives and personal details to ourselves? Can we not be happy with the smaller things? Can we not choose kindness over flexing everything? Can we not be more grounded?
