TIL "unscented" and "fragrance-free" are not the same thing on skincare labels

Just learned this recently and it explained a lot about sensitivity. “unscented" products can still contain a masking fragrance added specifically to cover up the smell of the other ingredients. "Fragrance-free" means nothing was added for scent at all, masking included.

Those masking agents can be allergens for a lot of people with sensitive skin. Ive noticed this with face care & body care alike.

Anyone here had a reaction to fragrances in skincare?
