Should I leave London?
I’m 26 and have lived in London for the last year, and while it took a bit of adjusting to at first, I am much happier here now and feel a lot more settled.
Anyway, a job opportunity has presented itself which would require me to leave London, and now i have a decision to make.
This job sounds almost too good to be true for me, and there will still be travel to London required so I’ll still get to visit probably fairly regularly.
I’m just torn because for so long I’ve just viewed London as a place for work and not felt fully comfortable there but now the idea of moving somewhere quite rural is daunting. I love being able to just pop out and see friends in an evening or go to the pub or any of the countless events that are always on.
But then I think that am I just afraid of fomo because I don’t actually go to that many things now and I’m only going to be a shortish train journey into London if I ever want to come and meet up with friends. Along the same lines I feel like I’ve wasted the year I have lived in London because for the first 4 ish months I was struggling quite a lot with my mental health, and still do a bit, that it has stopped me from going out and making the most of what London has to offer.
Can anyone who’s done something similar or anyone who just has some thoughts please share them with me!
