The Charlie Trilogy Screenplay's

Text

Hi all!

I've spent the last 4-ish years adapting the Silver Eyes trilogy into screenplay format in my spare time. Originally I was only going to do the first 2, but the challenge of adapting The Fourth Closet was too tempting, so I ended up completing the whole trilogy.

These screenplays were written as an exercise on my end and aim to preserve the story, characters, and spirit of the novels while restructuring them into a format that would work as feature films. I love these books dearly and find the world Scott Cawthon and Kira Breed-Wrisley made to be such a rich expansion on the universe. Adapting them was a really enjoyable experience. It was important to me that I remained as faithful as possible to these wonderful novels while also setting them up as a connected and fulfilling trilogy of movies.

Wherever I made changes or added original material, it was essential for me that the story remain the same, and that those scenes feel like they came right out of the book.

There are some minor deviations in these scripts. Those changes were made purely to better adapt the dense world of the books into a more audience friendly approach while retaining the essential story beats. With most changes being to dialogue or structure of the story.

These are not production ready scripts, so they may still have a few minor spelling or formatting errors that I've missed.

Hopefully you all enjoy them. Let me know your thoughts in the comments and I will try to reply to everyone, and if you have any questions about the adaptation process or why I made certain changes feel free to ask. I'd love to hear some feedback and discussions!

Note: These are fan-made screenplay adaptations based on the novels. I have no affiliation with Scott Cawthon, Kira Breed-Wrisley, Blumhouse or the Five Nights at Freddy's IP and do not claim ownership.
