Why does rick and maybe beth, being quite intelligent care if jerry is employed?
Why does Rick, and to some extent Beth, actually care whether Jerry has a job? They’re both extremely intelligent and clearly understand that Jerry isn’t particularly ambitious or competent by their standards. So why does Jerry being unemployed seem to bother them so much? Is it genuinely about financial stability and contributing to the family, or is there something deeper going on with how they view Jerry and his role in the family?
