SRW Y DLC question

Here's where I'm at: have finished the base game for SRW Y, but I don't own all the DLC from the DLC 1-3 expansion packs. I am interested in the anniversary DLC and will be buying that for sure, but here's my question:

Does owning and clearing the DLC 1-3 packs make the anniversary DLC campaign better as an experience?

Specifically, do characters from the previous DLCs (player characters or antagonists, doesn't matter) have any significant roles in the anniversary DLC? Is the story of the previous DLCs relevant to the anniversary DLC (as it was in SRW 30 - the connection wasn't super important but it was there)? Or is there no connection whatsoever and the previous DLCs are completely standalone?
