Why isn't WhatsApp adding a option to block random messages.

Last year me and my family were living comfortably in a house with a car and a monthly income from a deposit But then a random message came to my mom's WhatsApp number. Now for some reason my mom is extremely stupid and wants to go abroad and wants a rich husband so the scammer easily convinced her to sell the house, car and give all her life savings to him. I tried to convince my mom to not to and ITS A SCAMMER but she is too delusional and doesn't listen so I wanted to try the next best thing, block the number and off random messages and my mom doesn't know Abt technology so she wouldn't be able to do anything but WhatsApp for some Freaking reason doesn't have a simple feature to block random messages or move em to specific hidden area. Now ik most of this is technically my mom's fault BUT IT REALLY COULD HAVE HELPED IF WHATSAPP HAD A REALLY SIMPLE FEATURE THAT COMMUNICATION APPS SHOULD HAVE...
