5SOS saved my life and I’m not joking
I’ve been crying for the past 10 minutes, and I don’t know of anyone will care about what I read but i’m gonna share it anyway.
I moved to Toronto when I was 13 years old in April of 2016. i had to leave all my family behind my cousins my grandparents, my friends… i was so depressed and so angry and i hated it here for years.
5sos was my favorite band since I was like 11 and i used to listen to them all the time, i remember when SGFG was released i had to beg my mom to let me stay up until midnight just so i could listen to the album on my my spotify in my laptop and she was so upset because it was a school night, but she let me anyway. And i remember listening to broken home and invisible and crying my eyes out because i used to be such a sad little girl with repressed anger and repressed emotions.
and when i moved here everything got so much worse and i was so confused and angry at my parents for making me leave my home country.
and in july 12 of 2016 my mom bought me and my sister tickets to go see 5SOS live in the RBC amphitheater and it was th e first best thing that had happened to me since I had moved here
I was looking at old photos just now and I saw how little I was at that time and i got so sad but so happy because I’m gonna see my stupid silly favorite band again and i can’t believe how much I have grown with them and how awesome their music keeps getting
and i keep crying as i type this because i’m so goddamn happy that i’m seeing them TODAY AGAIN and i cry for the little girl in me that felt so fixed after that concert in 2016.
anyways.
real bands save fans or whatever… ❤️
