Should I really add a partner accountability feature in my fitness app (genuine advice)?
Hi everyone, I'm building a fitness app currently in public alpha. I am using something different strategy to validate my product. When I got the idea I simply joined the gym two months ago where I am noticing every single person inside the gym who are using any fitness app and who are not. I'm not currently focusing on growing mass users so what I do is simply talk to gym members and trainers there on a daily basis and add features based on it.
Currently I have 23 people alone from that gym who are using my app regularly to track their exercises, meals goal. 3 of them told me that they want to add their partner as well where they can see each others meals and track workouts. Because some are college students & there friends are in different city now as summer vacation off.
On the other hand trainers who have their clients also told me that they want to track their clients activity like meals, hydration, micro nutrients goals inside and outside the gym.
So should I add a single accountability feature which works for both trainers and normal users? Or should I build the trainer dashboard separately and keep that Duo feature for normal users?
