Am I alone win thinking this?

After getting the masterline mastery I feel like it just kinda sucks. Like I feel like I should get a better reward for doing all the mastery’s than “the rod is now sometimes better” why can I get boreal rod and nothing else for 5 minutes? I feel like all rods at least stage three and below shouldn’t appear and it should always pick three rods instead of 1-3 rods. Also maybe another mastery quest that is something like “catch one Devine secret”(which would apply to lifetime catches so if you already got one it would be complete) and the reward could be somthing like the rerolls giving better rods or making the mutations more common. Also maybe the ability given by the mastery which selects random rods could be on the base rod and the mastery could allow all combinations to last somthing like 10 minutes always but you can skip it after two minutes of having a Certain combination.
