Irrelevant information

I love wow. My dad played when i was a little kid and i used to watch him alot :D (2005/2006?)
I myself played wow for the first time in 2020 during lockdown(i played a ele shaman) but stopped after a couple of months and the same thing happened in 2023 (i played a hunter)
I have about 200-300hrs in the game but i still consider myself a fairly new player because sometimes i still have no idea what‘s going on lol

Also this is my first season playing m+ :)

Story time

I started playing wow again this year shortly after the midnight expansion came out (i think lol) - 3-4 months ago

This time i started playing as a fire mage and i thought it was kinda intriguing because everybody said that it was a bad class dps wise - Bad idea - since then i have accumulated about 100hrs on my fire mage(my most played character until now)

I also have a blood dk which i used my boost on since i got tired of waiting for tanks in dungeons but i only played like 5-6 hrs on that char. It‘s lvl 84.

So two days ago i logged into wow for the first time in like two weeks and as i was trying to get back into the spell rotation it was pissing me off that it took me like 10 seconds to kill some trash mobs without combustion up - so i thought about respecing

At first i was leaning towards playing a ice mage because i started leveling one in classic but then i chose to go with the class i had absolutely no idea about.

‚Results‘

Sorry for only using the total damage done, i can‘t remember dps - i know it makes it less accurate.
I also know dmg can depend on the dungeon but this is just to show how shit fire mage really is lol

I went from doing +2/+3 mythics with around 700 rating to ‚easily‘ doing +8/+9 with 1995 rating in a single day.
I also went up 14 ilvls.

I respecd yesterday in the morning and i instantly went from dealing 40 Mil. total dmg to 60 Mil. total dmg just by respecing.(150% increase??????)

As i slowly got more comfortable with the spell rotation etc, i noticed that i was all of a sudden ‚dominating‘ the dps meter JUST BY RESPECING

So as a fire mage i was doing these +2/+3 mythics with 40 Mil. total dmg (as i said lol) and when i logged of at about 11pm yesterday i was consistently doing 80 Mil. - 90 Mil. total dmg in +7-+9 dungeons.

All i want to say is: if you‘re looking to respec from fire mage, I‘d highly advise you to do so.
Also someone in a dungeon yesterday said, that arcane‘s gonna be S tier next season so that‘s also a huge plus point.

TLDR
Respeced from fire mage to arcane - 150% dmg increase just from respec - game fun again
