Maxing out powers

I've been doing new game runs, skipping the story, mucking about a bit...loving it..I want to settle onto a save but figured I might as well max my powers out first and see if I get any weird universes (they might not work that way I dno).

Finding it a tad tedious even though it's fast...if I get to NG+ 10 could I theoretically collect all the artifacts and then have a higher chance of starbirn attacking me and collect essence to max stuff out? Really CBA doing the temples over and over again
