Microsoft Fabric: Are you using Lakehouse or Warehouse for your Gold layer?

We're currently reviewing our Fabric architecture and trying to decide whether our Gold layer should remain in a Lakehouse or be served from a Warehouse.

I understand that both ultimately store data in Delta format in OneLake, but I'm interested in hearing about real-world experiences rather than Microsoft documentation.
