What's the plan for SQ42 and beyond?

Would SQ42 make a gamer want to get into SC? If they release SQ42 soon, is this the product they are pushing people to? Assuming SQ42 actually is a whole and solid game experience. I'm honestly curious how this is supposed to go since so many resources are on SQ42.
