Dear Danny Wen and Shawn Liu
I walked out of my last full-time job 13 years ago, fed up with the toxic environment and a 3 hour round trip commute. What was I doing next? Really no idea. But I'd find a way.
I started calling former colleagues and offering to help them out with any extra marketing tasks they had piling up. I started small, but hey, at least I wasn't being berated at my desk in front of all of my peers.
Now... how to keep track of all of this and bill these former colleagues. I found Harvest, created an account, and I was off and running.
Thirteen years later, I built a business that pays me 5x what I was making at my last full-time job. It's not always easy, but it's been an incredible journey, and I'm so proud of what I've accomplished.
There hasn't been a day that's gone by in those 13 years that I didn't check my Harvest account. It's been the most consistent tool I've used from day one. It's been there through the good times and the hard times.
As I close up my Harvest account for the last time, I really don't know what I'll be doing next, although everyone here says Keito is great. Maybe I'll give it a try. I'll find a way.
Truly, congrats to you guys for what you've built, and for your exit. Bending Spoons, you're dead to me, but Danny and Shawn - you two were the real ones.
Sincerely,
Bob
