Gift question

Have you ever been gifted an action figure from someone you’re barely associated with? It seems to be the case with me because a fella at work has bought me a Mezco Miles Morales, that I never received because someone stole it from where he hid it, a CowboyPool and a Punisher statue…… I guess my hesitation for enthusiasm about this is that I have a deep seeded memory about a Buzz Lightyear figure that kind of ruined every other gift I’ve recieved since then, but it was kind of him to do it, and I don’t want him to think I’m an ass for not feeling outwardly grateful that he did it for me
