Tsuru Reef is an amazing map and one of my favorites but an absolute trainwreck in the current breakthrough configuration. So here's my idea for a rework. It's a naval based map, correct? Why not use more.... oh idk.... naval based sectors and vehicles? That's the basis of my rework and really should be the basis of any rework.

Sector 1 should should start off with a naval invasion from the carrier much like Iwo Jima in V and 2042. Either create a new amphibious assault vehicle like the MAV from 2042 or utilize the RCB90 Patrol boat and RHIB. I'm thinking 4 RHIBs and/or 3 Patrol boats and 1 helicopter transport. Good old carnage just like the beaches of Iwo Jima.

Sector 2 is decent, keep as is. Remove or minimize vehicles here for a good old infantry styled clash and a change of pace. The only change I would make here is to make the bridge destructible much like bridges from BF4 to focus on another beach landing.

Sector 3 which is normally Tsuru Gate is absolutely underwhelming, boring, and should, absolutely, be replaced with the Majestic Resort which is one of the highlights of the entire map. Maybe give attackers 1 Bradley and 1 Tank and defenders 1 Bradley. Make the capture point inside the hotel.

Sector 4 should utilize the river between Crag Arch and Tsuru Gate to make it more interesting and to make this naval map naval. 2 patrol boats, 1 bradley and/or 1 transport chopper. If it sounds too difficult, either add more vehicles for attackers or remove A4 Tsuru Gate and just have 1 zone to capture, preferably Crag Arch to serve as a beachhead for the final sector.

Sector 5, which will officially have the most sectors in the game (Liberation peak has 4 but Iwo Jima in 2042 has 5), should either be the Air Base or Port or both. I just haven't decided which. Both might be difficult depending on vehicles. Port seems ideal for this naval based map but Air Base seems more iconic and more akin to Pacific Storm from V. Maybe finish it off with a jet vs jet battle - there's an air strip, and at least one carrier - why shouldn't we have a jet in the sky?

Thanks for reading this far.
