Wingleader designation
The first wingleader we are introduced to is Xaden so it seemed....fine. Physically and magically strongest with the most powerful dragon...okay.
But then we are introduced to more wingleaders like Amber Mavis, Dain, and Aura Beinhaven. To be a wingleader it seems that you gotta ace all the classes which...okay.
What's confusing is when assessing their abilities, they don't seem to include the signet power in battles, or battle experience, which is very odd in a war college...
For example, Senior Wingleader Aura was scared shitless at Anca and ended up burning Grady alive then drew wyvern by wieding then got skewed by those wyverns? How the fuck did she even make wingleader?
I just feel like those offensive signets should count more or at least just as much as how they do at hand-to-hand combat or the guantlet since in real battles offensive signets will dominte - which is exactly why Violet stepped in when Aura tried to challenge Dain. Sure leadership skills are not the same as individual powers but poweful riders are almost always bonded to powerful dragons and they ain't gonna listen to the orders of these wingleaders in battled anyways (ie: Tairn, Sgaeyl...). We see Tairn taking the center position and giving 0 fucks to Dain's dragon Cath all the time.
