New to being a SAHM—what should I do?
Stepping out of the corporate world at the end of next week to stay home and I am so excited!
Life with three boys 5 and under has gotten too chaotic. Doctors appointments, random sick days, scrambling for childcare, managing celiac disease, breastfeeding, major surgery… it’s all added up and our home and lives are in utter chaos and disorder.
Asking you veterans—what should I do/prioritize my first days, weeks, and months? Resting and focusing on my health (still recovering from surgery) as well as curbing the physical disorder of our home is at the top of the list for me. But what else should I be thinking about? How do I go about these things? Where do I start? Also, does anyone have a “job description” they work from that helps set expectations with their spouse (my husband works from home, so is very involved in the running of our home)?
Interested in your advice, reflections on what doesn’t work, anything!!
The 3yo will be in pre-k from 8-3 and the 5yo will be in kindergarten from 8:30-4, so it’ll just be me and the 1yo all day, who takes two good predictable naps.
TLDR: where do I start with being a SAHM?
