Periods every other week?

I’m 47 and have been in perimenopause for a few years. I began taking progesterone cyclically several months ago for insomnia, anxiety spikes, etc. I was having spotting each month around ovulation as well as a full withdrawal bleed. After several months of that we changed to daily at 100mg. The spotting mid cycle turned to full on period bleeds, so I was bleeding every other week. We just increased to 200mg daily and added an estrogen patch 2 weeks ago. I got one week of no bleeding but back to bleeding again today. I had no issues prior to starting progesterone so I’m really confused. In the midst of all of this I had an ultrasound that showed a normal lining and no fibroids or polyps. I can’t track my cycle anymore because I bleed every other week like a full period.

I’m considering stopping all of it and just going back on the pill to stop periods until bloodwork shows I’m post menopausal. I’m just over it.
