Hotel suggestion

I am trying to gwt a hotel room for some time like around 6 hours will be meeting someone but this is my first experience and a bit nervous, should I book a single room or double. But in double they are asking for my partners CNIC as well?

Can I jist book a room for me and then my partner can come to the room as guest or not possible?
