NSV Celebrations!
I went clothes shopping yesterday and managed to get several hidden gems, including. really nice dress for our anniversary date night this weekend. Plus, 4 tops. That fit. In a smaller size. The dress is a 16W. I started this journey as a tight 20W 2XL/3XL and left the store with 1X/XL.
Now, that's actually not the victory. The victory comes from the winning over body dysmorphia. I didn't realize how loose my tops had become and how much weight I'd lost.
But wearing one of the tops today, I can't stop running my hands down my curves or catching glimpses of my hourglass in the window reflection. It's not wonderful. I need to lose so very much more (made a deal with my husband I'd stop at Onederland and we'd have a talk). But, all I could see before was how fat I still was, even as the love of my life couldn't keep his hands off me and kept saying, Honey we need to buy you new clothes, and a rando Silver Fox at QT was checking me out...I just saw 272lbs me, not 238lbs me.
Deprecating humor, realizing the Silver Fox was probably ~3-5 years older than me, and possibly younger was a sobering moment, lol.
