Waiting times

Failed my first test, very frustrating as I am a competent driver probably just nerves getting the better of me - next test is booked for late December but I go travelling 30th December for some time and want my license before then ( hopefully pass the next test), what can I do to get earlier dates are any apps useable or all banned? Proper joke how long we have to wait in between tests it’s unjust in my opinion, puts a lot of pressure on people to pass first time… thanks
