How do I not pass on bedbugs?

Long story short, my dads house got bed bugs from my great grandmother's house. I dont want to spread the bed bugs to my mother's house. Is there anything I should do so this doesnt happen? Should I take a shower when I come back from my dads? How long do I dry my clothes? How hot should the dryer be?
