Cat diagnosed with mammary tumors looking for other owners’ experiences

Our cat was recently diagnosed with mammary gland tumors. Part of her mammary glands have been surgically removed (as far as I understand, partly as a preventive measure).

I’m looking for experiences from people who have gone through something similar with their cats. Did your cat also have mammary tumors? What was the outcome afterward? Did it ever progress or spread to other parts of the body?

I understand that every cat is different and that personal experiences cannot predict what will happen in our case, but I would really like to get a better idea of possible scenarios for the future.
