One big piece of advice for everyone
Don't make FASTNU your everything or in other words don't surround your life around it. This one habit is basically the biggest source of misery I've seen everyone have. They'll lose everything about themselves and every aspect of their life will be fast. Academics, jobs, social media, friends, hanging out etc.
FASTNU and the degree you're doing is a part of your life. That's it. Don't over engage with the content online because you feel you should as you're a student here now. Best would be not interacting at all and only coming to these communities if you need help. Live your own life. Have your own identity.
It shouldn't be "Hi I'm X and I got to FASTNU". It should be "Hi I'm X, I do this that, these are my interests, my hobbies, my friends. And oh almost forget I also happen to go to FASTNU".
Work smartly. Use the free time you get to "buy time back". For example spending a few days studying a course in advance so that you have ease in the next semester and free up time and mental space.
All of this will actually make you a better student and allow you to better perform in your degree actually. Because you're less likely to take stress, burnout, etc. This isn't me saying to be comfortable and complacent, this is me just saying don't give it more importance than it needs to have.
Any graduate will tell you that once you leave, you realize how little most things mattered and how unnecessarily they wasted time and energy on a lot of things.
Hope this helps.
