Should I Tell My Male Friends That I’m Gay?

I lowkey need advice on whether I should tell my male friends that I’m gay.

I’m a very closeted gay person, only four people have known my whole life. My parents are pretty homophobic, and I was bullied in elementary school for being “soft.” well because of that, I observed and eventually perfected the image of a masculine straight guy. It’s probably one of the reasons I moved out of my hometown.

At this point, acting straight has become a part of who I am. But of course, I’m still very gay, especially when I’m with my girl friends.

I’m overthinking whether I should tell my male friends that I’m gay or just go about my life normally until it actually becomes necessary.
