Overstimulation on meds

I’ve been on meds for a few weeks now and I’m finding that while I’m not an anxious person, I am more easily overstimulated now when I’m on my meds. I can focus but if there’s too much happening I can’t deal.

My child minder is sick this week so I’m working at home with a toddler and an extremely needy dog, my husband is away for work and I have to travel with said toddler for a long family trip on Friday. I really needed this week to focus on work and get some downtime from parenting and I get told last minute I have no cover. So I’m wondering if I should take a holiday from the meds?
