Credit card question

I’ve been thinking about getting an Old Navy credit card forever, but just haven’t committed. However, I’m interested in purchasing a suit from Banana Republic and would like to get the 20% discount they offer when opening a card. My question is, if I open the card through Banana Republic and not Old Navy, would I still get the early access and card member benefits at Old Navy?
