Anyone had to detox from screens for a week to reset yourself?
I've always been fairly good at my distance from phone, social media etc.
But last year I fell into a job which involved me needing to be on social media ALOT. I hadn't made an account prior to this so I was late but boy did I get sucked into it lol. I don't think it's necessarily that bad, we create our own algorithms kind of thing so mine was very aligned to who I am and has helped with my growth personally alongside doing good for career/connections.
Well, to the point of this post, I find myself seeking my phone first thing in the morning, to see notifications, if any business stuff has gone well online etc. A part of this is linked with survival mode I've grown up in. That's another story. Seeking safety. Finances etc.
I'm about to go to some nearby town for a week. Put my phone/laptop away in a cupboard and just meditate. Excercise. Read. Cook. Nature. Things of this nature for the next 7 days.
Has anyone else done something like this and found it beneficial? Open to suggestions too.
