27M met the most incredible 24F person… will these feasibly last

I’m a [27M] and I met the most amazing [24F] person.

So, I was out with my best friend and his new girlfriend for drinks, and she told me, after getting to know each other pretty well, that she has a friend that she thinks is exactly like me, and that she'd love to set us up.

Fast forward a week later, we're in a trampoline park, all four of us, and we just click. The chemistry is just unmatched. We are quite literally, as she said, the same person. Personalities, interests. I have never met somebody like this in my entire life. She's an absolutely beautiful woman. And I remember telling my friend, oh my goodness, what am I going to do?

So I was a bit of a player, to say, for the past year and a half. I had a girlfriend for nine years before this. And I always questioned whether I would stop being so non-committal. And after I met her, I basically forgot about every other person I've ever been with. My interest in playing the field vanished.

Here's the problem. She goes to medical school in Ireland, and I'm based in Toronto. She has another two years left. Give or take, April of 2028, she'll be back. This does make me very upset, as she does leave in the next few days. I'm wondering to myself, is this something that I could make feasibly last? Could I keep seeing her? Traveling for me is very easy. I work at an airline. Flight tickets don't really matter to me, as I essentially fly for pennies. Part of me is afraid this is just a summer fling, and that she'll forget about me. But a huge part of me really hopes that her and I will last, somehow. Any advice? Anybody go thru something similar?
