BLS ITALY IN SINGAPORE - question about bank statements

Question

hi everyone! i will be applying for visa next week for my trip in october. so i will be submitting my may, june & july UOB bank statements.

one of the requirements in the checklist that BLS provided says i need to get the statements stamped by the bank. i literally just went to UOB and they informed me that they no longer stamp bank statements. i asked if they could sign it instead and the staff said no to that too. so i asked if they can print the statements for me and she said sure but it will be $20 per page which is ridiculous!!! i then showed her the bank statements i had printed out which i got directly from the UOB app and she said that’s essentially what they’re gonna print out for me for $20 per page.

then she said i can request for a letter of reference for $20 instead.

now i have no idea what to do?? do i request for the letter of reference??? which will delay me in submitting my visa application to a week later bc UOB needs time to process the letter of reference. but i do not want any further delays bc i just want to get this over and done with. or do i just try my luck and only submit the bank statements?

also some background info. i had a netherlands schengen visa issued to me in 2024. a UK and japan visa also from 2024. and more recently, a canada visa this year.

plus the italy embassy of singapore has their own checklist that says they require bank statements only and they did not mention about getting it stamped by the bank whereas BLS’s checklist includes the part about the stamp. so i am also veru confused.

sorry if this is long winded, i am just so anxious 😭
