Have you ever accidentally formatted the wrong drive?

I'm always paranoid about this whenever I'm organizing my storage, like every time I get to the drive selection screen I double check always to check that I'm about to format the correct one, and thankfully I haven't made that mistake...yet.

Has anyone here actually formatted the wrong drive before? Were you able to recover your files?
