rant about my school situation
hey so this is a little depressing but i just need to vent it out somewhere. My school situation is a little different than normal. If i had gone through school normally i would be class of 2027. Unfortunately thats not the case, i entered high school with an upbeat attitude as it was my first time in a while being in an in person school as i did online for almost all of middle school. The only down side was the conditions my mom set for me to enter school. 1 i have to be in a sport 2 I had to do avid. The only sport available that i knew i could do was cross country since track started winter season. so my days started earlier and ended later than the average high school student. ( at least to my knowledge) after sometime my child hood bsf left to go back to online school and she was really the main reason i even joined, and school was just too tiring and long. so after a little bit into 2nd semester of freshmen year i decided to go back to online school too… first mistake.. that time of my life was a bit of a blur i don’t really even remember the transition from public to online too well since i was suffering with depression and that time was even worse. my mom was very firm on me going to a christian online school which all costed money.. second mistake.. after sometime my mom was mad because i couldn’t finish my work fast enough.. i understand she didn’t know what i was going through so i can’t really blame her since she can’t see into my mind but i was suffering with depression, anxiety, and stress all built up. Unfortunately i have my own set of trauma and mental stuff going on plus i think i may have inattentive adhd but i cant say for sure. sorry off topic. Anyways basically she couldn’t pay for the schooling anymore so i couldn’t be in school for a bit we searched for more christian schools but couldn’t find any in our price range. later my friends recommended the online school she was doing called visions. i was finally out on the waiting list and things were looking up.. until my mom found another Christian school for me to do which costed even more than the last.. it didn’t end well and it was basically a home home school as in my mom would have to teach me everything but she ofc would never do that that because she has other things to do so i had to find another online school for that courses to take that would go on my report card and stuff. anyways basically it didn’t end well. after that we basically both just gave up and decided to find an alternative which was taking the test. the requirements for the test is to be 16 or 17, be enrolled in public school, or have completed your sophomore year and guess what the only thing i could check off of that list was that i am 17. now i have to enroll myself back into the same public school i went freshman year and take the test all my friends will be seniors and i’ll at most be a sophomore. they all will graduate and do all the senior activities and i won’t. i guess most of it is myself since i didn’t try hard enough, but it still hurts i wish i just stayed in public school and never left. Tbh i still suffer with depression, anxiety, stress all that so this feel more daunting than it may seem. Plus i don’t wanna get bullied for being held back. there’s some stuff i left out because it pretty personal but that’s basically the story.
