Closing USB Go card not long after opening?
With the Redstone Visa nerfed, I applied for the U.S. Bank GO card about three months ago to use it as a 4% restaurant card. Today, I asked for recommendations for a gas card and learned about the Verizon Visa. I just applied for the Verizon Visa and should receive the card in a few days. It seems to be a very good card, since its 4% reward covers multiple popular categories.
However, I’ll be relocating soon and won’t be a Verizon Fios customer anymore. I assume I can still keep and use the Verizon Visa even after I stop being a Fios customer.
With the Verizon Visa, I don’t think I’ll have much use for the U.S. Bank GO card anymore. If I close the U.S. Bank GO card, would U.S. Bank allow me to apply for or reopen the card in the future if I decide I want it again? If Verizon card is nerfed in the future. Or I can close USB Go one year after its opening.
