Life after death

I’ve been losing my mind over these past few months just thinking about what happens after we die. I was born in Ukraine, so My family and I are Eastern Orthodox Christian’s. I do believe there is a God and I do believe in Jesus Christ(and that he was son of God, our lord and saviour). But it has me thinking. Just because they’re is a creator/God, doesn’t exactly mean that there is an afterlife and more to it after death. Don’t get me wrong I want there to be something after and I would love to reconnect with my loved ones, but there is still a part of me where I sometimes wonder what if they’re really is just nothingness for eternity. That would be rlly depressing, but no one would know what really happens only until after we pass away. I just pray that there is a God and we do go somewhere after death.
