Visiting LSU soon — hotel recommendations from Baton Rouge locals?

Hi everyone!! I’m a high school senior from Texas and I’m hoping to visit LSU very soon! This will be my first time visiting Baton Rouge, so I’d love to hear from any Baton Rouge/Louisiana locals about where you’d recommend staying.

I’m looking for a good, reliable hotel that’s in a convenient area for getting to LSU’s campus, downtown, restaurants, etc. Ideally somewhere clean and safe and not insanely expensive. I’d also love to hear if there are any areas you’d recommend staying in or avoiding!

I’m really excited to finally visit LSU and see the campus for myself, so any advice is appreciated!! 💜💛
