Ancient Era: Began with a wonder start (Xi'an). I started Liang and used my science to rush stonehenge and ToA before settling Beijing. Took wonder pantheon/religion and voidsingers. Went for some early harbors in Xi' An and Beijing.

Classical Era: Monumentality golden age and used faith to settle Taiyuan & Chengdu and get some early builders. I used these to get my commerical hubs up along with my gov plaza and got colo in Beijing and Mozz in Xi' An. I opted for autocracy and audience chamber to lean into tall play. Brazil suprise warred me. I chopped out some archers to push him back. A horseman and swordsman allowed me to take Recife and peace out.

Medieval Era: Dark Age. I took an the trade route promo on magnus and the domestic trade route dark age policy. This allowed me to get all my cities very productive and I continued to spam wonders while leaning more into theater squares. I began building the great wall on my western front. This came in handy when a military emergency passed and I found myself at war with brazil and france. I rushed out some crouching tigers in Xi'an and Recife. Caguana which I had just recently suzed began to wreck havoc on Fortazela and Sao Palo. I swept in and captured both of these cities but then traded Sao Palo back for peace. After some light pillaging France also peaced out.

Rennicance Era: Heroic Age allowed me to spread my religion, pump out more builders, and settle my last 2 cities. I thought I would probably try for a culture victory. I worked on my industrial hub, got out some campuses and theater squares. I also continued to pump out wonders - focusing on ones that allowed me to house great works and those that gave more policy card slots.

Industrial Era+: Golden Ages from here on out. I continued my sim trying to balance science and faith. I got my biosphere but got very unlucky trying to find offshore windfarms. I moved to synthetic technocracy and used my massive Xi' An city to pump out the space projects. I also ended up getting all the Space Project Engineers / Scientists. This resulted in me winning a science victory just a couple of turns before my culture victory ticked over.

Overall, a very satisfying tall China game where I also got to make use of my unique unit timer. Not getting any coal, oil or uranium gave me an excuse to lean heavily into renewables. This combined with all of the wonders I was able to produce with Xin made for a very satisfying empire. Thank you for reading!
