I'm on prednisone for an intractable migraine and I practically feel "normal" for the first time since I developed fibro.
I've read accounts like mine before, where someone was put on Prednisone for something unrelated to their fibro and it alleviated their symptoms more than any fibro med ever had. I didn't think this would happen for me, but it has and I am both amazed and devastated by how good I feel. Yesterday I was able to stand at my easel and paint for over two hours without any stiffness forming in my legs. I feel like my old self again. My fibro is severe, so to suddenly get this drastic symptom improvement....I mean I really feel like ME again.
Does anyone know why Prednisone can do this for fibro? Does it speak to the inflammation piece of fibromyalgia that often goes ignored? Is this a clue that something else might be going on in my body other than fibro and hEDS? I have so many thoughts and questions, and losing this feeling that I'm back to my old self again is going to be extremely hard.
