Is anyone else having trouble with Storyteller after the new update?

I've been playing Storyteller on my iPad for a while using my Apple Pencil. Everything was working fine but ever since the new update, the game has stopped responding to my Apple Pencil entirely, and whenever I use my finger to choose a scene/character it either takes a few tries to register the action, or it selects something that is a few cm away from where my finger is pressing.

The Apple Pencil works fine on other applications, it's just Storyteller that seems to be having issues. I haven't seen anyone on this subreddit experience the same thing so hopefully it's an issue on my end that I can fix
