Cannot sideload latest version of Retroarch on Pocket AIR Mini

Has anybody else here experienced being unable to install either the latest stable or nightly build of Retroarch on their AYANEO Pocket Air Mini?

I know that the same app can be downloaded via Play Store. But the problem with that version is that some cores are not in it, at least based on my previous experience with it.
