Helping a friend take care her cat for less than a month, do I still need to tell the apartment

I live in an apartment complex which requires tenants to disclose pet as they charge pet fee. I would only be taking care of this one cat for no more than a month, do I still tell the apartment about it and go thru all the paperworks?
