still 38 weeks out and my watch thinks i'm on holiday

base-building in this heat means every run looks like a tempo effort to the algorithm. my heart rate drifts up just standing outside, and the trending graphs have me pegged as chronically detrained (i am not, i am just very warm). the watch keeps suggesting recovery runs after what were meant to be recovery runs, which is oddly reassuring; at least something agrees with me. i have turned off the daily-suggestion notifications. not because i am above them, but because right now the only job is to stack weeks without stacking injuries, and a ring on a screen telling me to do a 45-minute stride workout at 29 degrees is not a coach. it is an adversary. i am logging miles by feel and checking the resting heart rate trend once a week to make sure i am not digging a hole. for those who build base mostly from the wrist: do you keep the training-status stuff on, or bury it until the plan actually starts? i cannot decide if seeing the 'unproductive' label every August is motivating or just noise.
