Could This Be Pelvic Floor Dysfunction or UP ágain?
Hi everyone,
I have been struggling with this for years and I am starting to feel hopeless.
I tested positive for Ureaplasma in the past and was treated with antibiotics twice. Since then, I have had three negative Ureaplasma tests. My partner was also tested about two years ago using a semen sample, and his result was negative.
The last time we had sex was in May. In July, I was tested again for Ureaplasma and the result was negative…
However, my symptoms have never gone away. For years I have had a burning sensation in my vagina, especially after urinating. I also experience pain during sex, which has had a huge impact on my life and relationship.
I have seen multiple gynecologists and nobody has been able to give me a clear answer.
During my last gynecological examination, my doctor told me that I was tightening my pelvic floor muscles a lot during the exam and that I needed to relax more.
Has anyone experienced persistent vaginal burning and painful sex for years despite repeated negative Ureaplasma tests? Could pelvic floor dysfunction really cause symptoms like this?
I am honestly starting to feel exhausted and overwhelmed by this situation. I feel like I am becoming sick from constantly dealing with these symptoms and not getting answers.
