Are hoppers worth it?

You still have to harvest the produce from machines, so hoppers don’t automate hardly anything, they only just save you a little time while taking up space on your farm/in your sheds

Are there any machines that hoppers are worth putting on?

I can see them being convenient and saving some time, but considering most of my machines are in sheds, I don’t feel like they’re worth the space they take up. Maybe I can build another shed and move my mayo machines, cheese brewers, etc. to it so I have the extra space for the hoppers. I might actually do that if I ever save up the radioactive bars, because animal products can be a pain. Still, it doesn’t do a lot considering you’re already there to harvest from your machines for the hoppers to activate.
