Vicious Cycle of Life ((((((((((60 Years of sacrifice & power))))))))))
At Birth
Both parents are extremely happy everyone is celebrating the father is distributing sweets and praising his wife
He is giving all his attention to his wife but when he went to his father to give him sweets his father starts telling him key Kam pe dehan do or beti ki Shaadi wagera key Liya jama Karna Shuru kr do
At 5
He is playing falls down the stairs and starts crying
The first thing he hears
Larkay rote nahi hain. Mard bano
At 10
Grocery and outside errands are put on his shoulders
He comes home tired one of the women in the house asks him to bring something
Mujhe XYZ la do
Main thak gaya hoon
Bahar ke kaam larkay hi karte hain
At 15
His father is distant while his mother shows him lots of love
He is obedient listens to her and does well in his studies
But the ideas he has about his future are still considered childish
He wants to pursue something different
Nahi jo hum keh rahe hain wohi karo
At 20
His father becomes ill and can no longer support the family like he used to
So he steps up
He starts earning alongside his studies to share in the expenses but trying to manage both means he can no longer give either his full attention
Then he falls for someone
He tries to tell her but because he has barely interacted with the opposite gender he fumbles
He gets labelled a harasser
And he becomes afraid of pursuing love ever again.
At 25
He is doing well in life but his father is now completely bedridden and retired
His sister gets married, and he contributes a huge chunk of his savings towards the wedding money he could have used to pursue some of his own dreams
Whenever relatives visit
Beta kitna kamate ho especially the uncs
Beta bare ho gaye ho Shaadi kab kar rahe ho especially the aunties
Sometimes he feels irritated when his father sits him down and starts giving him advice about life
At 30
He is financially stable and almost done with all his responsibilities
But somewhere inside he has developed resentment towards his father
He feels he had to sacrifice his dreams to fulfil responsibilities that were never supposed to be his alone
He also feels lonely
He can't openly share his thoughts or emotions because society has taught him
Mard ho tum
Larkiyan aisa sochti hain
Mardon ko strong rehna chahiye
So he decides to get married
After marriage he becomes a father to a baby girl
He is happy for his first child
But the people around him start behaving differently
At 35
He becomes a father to a boy
He is happy but stressed at the same time.
His wife is also happy
He praises her and distributes sweets
Then he goes to his father with sweets
His father says
Khush hona theek hai lekin ab zyada dhyan apne kaam par do Tumhari zimmedari barh gayi hai
At 40
This is probably the happiest period of his life
He has a complete family two children and a loving wife
He has also managed to save some money for his children's future
But in doing so he has sacrificed some of his own dreams
Because his children's future matters more to him than his own
At 45
Things are still going well
He loves his wife
His children are growing up well and are obedient
He is financially stable
But problems are brewing inside the house
His mother and wife constantly fight
He doesn't know whose side to take but since he has his own family now he naturally becomes more inclined towards his wife
Then something happens
Someone teases his daughter while she is returning from school
And instead of addressing the person who harassed her people around him start saying:
Usay ghar ke kaam sikhao
Jaldi shaadi kar do
Kahin kuch aur na ho jaye
At 50
He becomes ill
His financial capabilities decline
But now his children are grown up
And whenever relatives visit they say
Beti aapki kaafi bari ho gayi hai Shaadi kab kar rahe hain iski
The constant pressure starts getting to him
So he begins searching for a suitable groom for his daughter
At 55
His illness has worsened
But he still does whatever he can
Meanwhile his son starts stepping up and sharing the family's expenses.
He is happy bcz
His daughter is also getting married and he believes he has found the perfect groom for her
At 60
He is retired ill and no longer capable of earning
But his son has established himself and is now taking care of everything
Yet he can sense something in his son
Resentment
The same resentment he once carried towards his own father
His son feels that his father's circumstances forced him to sacrifice his dreams
And his father unable to compensate for the past starts giving him advice about life.
Beta meri tarah ghaltiyan mat karna
Apne future ka sochna
Zindagi mein ye cheezen zaroor karna
He thinks he is helping his son avoid the mistakes he made
But suddenly
he finds himself on the other side of the exact same cycle
The child he once tried to protect from the world is now carrying the consequences of the same expectations that were placed on him
And the cycle continues
