Introducing nuts
My 6m old son has eczema that is reactive to foods I eat while breastfeeding. Right now I have cut dairy, soy, eggs, all nuts (tho cashew is the most severe skin reaction) and corn and his skin is great. Our second child was like this as well minus the nuts and he ended up being anaphylactic to eggs. I am so hesitant to introduce nuts but I know the importance of early intro. My husband is allergic to all nuts. We have a referral to an allergist but I imagine it’ll be 6m before we see them. Do I wait this long for intro? Give them in an ER parking lot? My family doctor just said here’s a prescription for epi and I have to do what I’m comfortable with. My seconds first intro to eggs he probably should have received epi but I didn’t know better. Fully body hives, inconsolable screaming for hours.
