Kratom / 7oh for oxy withdrawal?

I’ve been on 17.5 oxys but getting off and now down to 5mg but having withdrawals, been suggested Kratom so I went to my local botanical store and they gave me packet of 50mg and said take the whole thing.
Bad idea? Not well versed in this stuff, in remission from cancer and coming off the opiates is hard.
