Ram Compatibility

Build Help

I bought Vengeance 3200mhz 2x16gb RAM about a year ago without realizing the frequency limit on my i5 10400f. Once I learned this, I just left the sticks in the closet until now. But now, my workload has gotten much heavier and I really need an upgrade. Is it safe to use RAM with a frequency above my CPU’s compatibility? And does the motherboard matter? I have a Gigabyte H470M DS3H. I’ve heard that this is completely safe as long as you enable XMP, which my motherboard has. Help is greatly appreciated PC builders 🙏
