Starter box models in normal gangs

I’ll preface this with I’m just getting started and understand most people don’t have the books since everything isn’t officially out yet. However, there’s been a lot of pictures of the gang books out there.

I’m wondering if the new Goliath and Escher models from the starter set work as part of a traditional gang? I know they come with rules as part of their own little mini gang that don’t follow the normal gang building rules. It seems like they’re specialist models but curious if you can mix them in with the normal gang models? It looks like some of their equipment, like crucible hooks, don’t show up in the normal Goliath equipment list. Thanks for the advice!
